Rev. Denise Anderson to Deliver Keynote for Peace Breakfast on June 20

The Presbyterian Peace Fellowship is thrilled to announce that Rev. Denise Anderson will be the keynote speaker at the PPF Peace Breakfast on June 20, 2018 at 7 a.m. in St. Louis.

The Peace Breakfast will honor Peaceseeker Award recipients rev. abby mohaupt (2017) for her work organizing for creation justice in the PCUSA and Revs. Liz Theoharis and William Barber (2018) for their work with the Poor People’s Campaign.

Rev. Denise Anderson is Co-Moderator of the 222nd General Assembly and also serves on the National Steering Committee for the Poor People’s Campaign. She serves as pastor at Unity Presbyterian Church in Temple Hills, Maryland. As co-moderators, she and Jan Edmiston have led the PC(USA) into deep and challenging conversations, particularly around racial justice and white supremacy through denomination-wide book studies, speaking, praying, and writing. She has traveled widely in her role as co-moderator and has most recently returned from a delegation to Palestine and Israel.

PPF is honored that Rev. Anderson will speak at the Peace Breakfast, and we hope that you will join us as well. Tickets are available here or can be purchased on site at General Assembly. We will record the event for those who are not able to attend in person.
