Our Work
The Presbyterian Peace Fellowship is a community of peacemakers who are active in their own communities and around the world.
The Fellowship began in the early 1940’s to provide support for Presbyterians who were conscientious objectors during the Second World War (more on our history). More recently, our work has focussed increasingly on nonviolent direct action. We take an active role in creating the peace Jesus calls us to in the world.
Our work includes accompanying our sisters and brothers in war-torn Colombia, witnessing to our own leaders to end the war in Iraq, and working to reduce violence in our own communities. If you want to follow Jesus on a path that takes seriously his command to "love your enemies," there is a place for you here.
