Introducing Margery Rossi, Our New Acting Coordinator of Gun Violence Prevention!

Join us in welcoming Margery Rossi, a dedicated advocate for peace and justice, as our new Acting Coordinator of Gun Violence Prevention. Margery brings a wealth of experience and a steadfast commitment to sparking meaningful change for the common good. Currently serving as a pastor in the picturesque Hudson Valley of New York, Margery’s background in linguistics, literature, and religious education, coupled with her extensive involvement in PPF’s Gun Violence Prevention initiatives, positions her as a driving force in our mission. Margery’s driving principle has remained the same throughout the span of her eclectic career: to spark meaningful, faithful engagement and change for the common good. Currently, she serves as a pastor in the beautiful Hudson Valley of New York, where she lives with her husband, young adult sons and 2 cats.

Margery holds a BS in Linguistics and English Literature from Northeastern University in Boston, and a MA from Fordham University in Religion & Religious Education, with a focus on Social Justice and Youth & Young Adult Ministry.  Margery attended the New Seminary in New York, NY and was ordained an Interfaith Minister.  She later undertook further study at Dubuque Theological Seminary and became a commissioned pastor.  

Margery moderated the PPF Gun Violence Prevention Working Group for 6 years and was a member of the PPF Executive Committee for 4 years.  She has helped create and carry out the PC(USA) policy on gun violence prevention and intervention for more than a decade.
