News from The Israel/Palestine Mission Network of the PC(USA)

Join us in solidarity with the Israel/Palestine Mission Network of the PC(USA) as they embark on a journey to Palestine. Over 30 Christians, mostly Presbyterian, along with ecumenical partners and members of the Presbyterian Peace Fellowship, are advocating for peace and justice in the region. Follow their daily updates and stand with them in solidarity.

Greetings,

We are coming to you from Palestine. As of today, February 17, a delegation of over 30 Christians, mostly Presbyterian, along with a few ecumenical brothers and sisters, have journeyed to Palestine and Israel in solidarity with the suffering. Sponsored by the Israel/Palestine Mission Network, this is a delegation of Presbyterians responding to an invitation from the Sabeel Ecumenical Liberation Theology Center and Kairos Palestine to show our solidarity with our physical presence and in hopes of leveraging our Presbyterian networks to mobilize Christians all over the U.S.A. to continue to push for a permanent ceasefire in Gaza and a just peace for all in the Holy Land.

We are not here to speak on behalf of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.). Rather we are here to speak TO our Christian siblings, Presbyterian and beyond. We're here to express solidarity, to learn from those doing the work locally, to amplify further what is going on, and to do our part to help move the needle towards an end to the suffering and violence.

We will send updates and reports about what we see and hear during the trip with the main purposes of the trip during and after:

  • to express solidarity with all who are suffering in Palestine and Israel during this time of immense violence,
  • to demand an end to Israel’s genocidal bombardment of Gaza and an end to Israel’s systematic ethnic cleansing of Palestinians in Gaza and the West Bank and the release of all Palestinian prisoners held unlawfully by Israel;
  • and to call for an end to Hamas’ acts of horrendous violence against civilians and the return of all Israeli hostages held by Hamas.

We hope you will join us from wherever you are and amplify the stories we share. For delegation updates, follow and subscribe to all of the IPMN, Kairos Palestine, and Sabeel socials. Links can be found below.

IPMN will also be sending out daily updates, which will be shared via email and posted on our blog. Navigate to our blog now to see the first post of the trip, Solidarity with the Suffering: Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) Delegation to Palestine and Israel.

If you would like to make a donation to support the ministry of Sabeel and Kairos Palestine, who are hosting the delegation and organizing local arrangements, you can do so online at: www.fosna.org/donate. In the “in honor or memory of” field, put “Sabeel and Kairos Palestine.” Or by check: PO Box 3192, Greenwood Village, CO, 80155-3192. Undesignated donations will be used for the excellent ongoing work of FOSNA.

Peace,

IPMN of the PC(U.S.A.)
